MAC Monthly Meeting

MAC Monthly Event

Monday, November 9th

Location:  Gateway Christian Church
                   1951 Des Peres Road, 63131

Early Bird Video:
6:15 PM:   Dr. Jason Lisle's    Evolution & Logical Fallacies DVD (58 minutes)

In this informative presentation, videoed before hundreds at AiG’s Creation College 3, Dr. Jason Lisle gives viewers a fast-paced course on logic.  In addition to reviewing numerous logical fallacies, Dr. Lisle gives examples of how evolutionists often use fallacious arguments in arguing for their position.  Learning to recognize these fallacies provides a whole new opportunity for defending the Christian faith and arguing for the truth of creation.

Main Event:

7:30 PM:   Ivan Burgener        Witnessing About Creation

We will discuss the most basic group of questions which evolutionists hope we do not ask. How did life begin?  And many more topics that we must request/require the evolutionist to answer.  We will answer from the Bible and review the connection between things physical and things spiritual.  We will challenge the evolutionist to explain these linkages.
Where, when and how did time begin?  The passage of time has harmful effects rather than beneficial effects.  Age brings deterioration to things living and non-living. Audience participation will be welcomed.  Come prepared to pitch-in.

About our speaker:

Ivan Burgener serves as a Bible Conference Speaker and as pastor of Affton Grace Bible Church in St. Louis, Missouri. He also serves on the boards of several other Christian ministries, and recently retired as President of the Missouri Association for Creation Board of Directors.

Burgener retired in 1993 from a career of chemical engineering practiced since 1955 at several local chemical manufacturers and nation-wide offering consulting services to the chemical industry. He holds one patent and has published a paper in 1978 on regulatory compliance of emissions from a coal-gas scrubber handling Illinois high-sulphur coal.

Mr. Burgener received his BS from the University of Illinois in 1955 and his professional engineering license in 1962. Since retiring from Sigma Chemical Company in 1993, he has been inactive concerning engineering pursuits and has concentrated his efforts teaching about creation and the Bible. He has authored numerous short articles for Christian publications and has written "God's Word for Today," a book which presents the inspiration, preservation, and translations of the Bible.
