MAC Homeschool Day at the
St. Louis Zoo Draws Over 450
Did you know that a camel has an extra eyelid that is transparent, allowing him to see in a sandstorm? Or that a kangaroo is the size of a jellybean when it is born? How about the fact that a bird has hollow bones?
These are just a few of the many things that over 450 homeschoolers and parents (and some passersby) learned at MAC’s Homeschool Day at the St. Louis Zoo on May 2nd.
Presenters from the MAC Speakers Bureau engaged the homeschoolers with information about giraffes, zebras, camels, kangaroos, birds, apes and reptiles, teaching them the uniqueness of each animal’s design and how the awesome hand of our Creator is the only logical way to explain it.
“We enjoyed all of the speakers and the wonderful information that supports God as our Creator! The weather was beautiful and being with our homeschool friends made the day even better!” said homeschool mom Joyce Broadbooks.
This event was a repeat of MAC’s initial effort last fall. It proved to be so popular that a replay was necessary to accommodate those who missed it the first time.
The next MAC Zoo Day will take place in October with all new animals. Information will be on this website as soon as it becomes available.
